Asia Pacific PV markets continue to surge ahead of expectations, installing 2.8GW in Q4'11 and a total of 6 GW in FY'11. The region as a whole grew 165% Y/Y, is forecast to grow an additional 40% in 2012, according to the latest NPD Solarbuzz Asia Pacific Major PV Markets Quarterly report.

Solar PV Market Report 2011 by European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA):

The series of years of vigorous growth of the world wide PV market, even during times of financial and economic crisis, has continued in 2011. The volume of new grid connected PV capacities world wide rose from 16.6 GW in 2010 to 27.7GW in 2011. Almost 21GW of this growth could be counted in Europe.

Japan's Surging Sales of Residential Solar PV due to nuclear crisis. From Wind and geothermal power to fuel cells, the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred March 11 off the coast of Fukushima - along with much longer standing energy security concerns - has revitalized clean and renewable energy prospects in Japan.

Domestic sales of solar PV cells rose 30.7% year-over-year in 2011 to 1,296 MW, as per Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association (JPEA).

Executives from Future Solar Developments Inc. will join Ontario Solar Energy Mission to China from March 20 to 30, organized and led by International Trade Branch and Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation of Government of Ontario, Canada. The Mission will exhibit at AsiaSolar PV Industry Exhibition in Shanghai, and then visit Wuxi and Beijing. Mission delegates will attend a series of business activities such as seminars, one-on-one meetings and company visits during the Mission to explore new and enhance existing business development and partnership with partners in China.

The executives of Future Solar will give key notes to the solar industry during the conferences as well.
